Mohair is a very traditional fiber for cinchas. It is strong, it breathes, and wicks moisture away from the horse.
These cinchas are all hand made with the highest quality fiber and hardware. I use buckles that are solid brass or stainless steel and are a round double bar design so as to lay flat to the horse. The D rings are set in from the edges of the cinch so as not to fold under and sore your horse.
I make a living on a horse and have an idea what folks are looking for in the way of gear. All cinchas are made one at a time by me (on the ranch) with the horse's comfort in mind for the working buckaroo and cowboy.
So, whatever you call them... cinch, cinchas or girths. I make them to be functional, safe, comfortable and just a nice looking piece of tack.
I'm trying to continue a long tradition of craftsman that make their own gear. So when you buy gear, buy it from someone who makes it themselves. If you're a maker teach someone how to make what you do.

There are many fine makers out there, if you're are looking for horse hair products, leather, rawhide or silver just search for them. It is worth the effort. Scot 2010
