Calving
by scot anderson on 02/20/11
Calving has started on the ranch and sleep is at a minimum. I'm checking the cows around the clock at 10,2 and 6 am and pm.
The weather has been fairly mild which has been nice.
I've been doing a lot of maintance during the days building gates, fixing corrals and checking on our 80 plus horses.
Calving already!
by scot anderson on 01/07/11
Yes, I've started calving already. My first calf was born on December 29th. It will be a long calving season! Winter is going well. It has been warmer than usual and I have been able to get a lot of corral repair done in the nice weather. Hope all is well with everyone.
Accepted a Ranch Manager position!!
by scot anderson on 08/16/10
Hey Everyone- There has been a new change to Bridletooth Cinchas. As of this fall we will be moving to Colorado. You the customer will still get the same high quality cinchas. I have just taken a position as Ranch Manager for a ranch in Colorado. I will still be making horse gear and plan to soon start offering stirrups and Armits/Chinks to the web site. I will be producing the majority of my inventory in the winter but will still take custom orders throughout the year.
It will be nice to be making a living on horseback again.
Moved some cows!
by scot anderson on 07/19/10I went out on my gelding yesterday to move some cows with a friend. My gelding has about 20 rides on him and I'm riding him in a hackamore. He did alright, I need to work on freeing up the hind quarters, he was sticking.
New Colors Soon!
by scot anderson on 07/16/10
Hello everyone- I will soon be able to offer new colors for my cinchas. I am starting to do my own dyeing. So let me know if you have a color in mind. Email me. I don't use my blog as a forum page. Comments are welcome but I do not respond back everyday. If you have questions please email me.
I talked to my saddle maker ( Duncan Clarke) yesterday and it looks like my new saddle will be completed soon. It is on a 58 wade tree made by Rick Reid. Can't wait.
